Darkness does not overcome light. It cannot. Because darkness, by definition, is simply the absence of light. If light exists - and it does - its mere presence is enough to dispel darkness. But without light, darkness cannot be dispelled.
Fighting darkness is boxing shadows. Let's not weary ourselves boxing. Just turn on the light.
John 1:5 says, "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."
