On Dust & Trust: Psalm 78
March 5, 2013
...In spite of all this, they still sinned;
despite his wonders, they did not believe...
He remembered that they were but flesh,
a wind that passes and comes not again....
There's a lot more in this Psalm, and it deserves a full read.
But again the call comes - see His wonders and trust Him.
Yet we don't. Again and again, we don't.
Again and again, I don't.
In this season of Lent, while we are mindful of our dustiness,
praise God that He too remembers that we are but flesh and has mercy on us.
...he chose the tribe of Judah...
...He chose David his servant...
And He sent His Son.
He delivers us from the darkness.
He will one day deliver us from the dust.
For now, it is ours to trust.
despite his wonders, they did not believe...
He remembered that they were but flesh,
a wind that passes and comes not again....
